Warm salad with veal
- Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add salt to the boiling water.
- Carefully place the veal in the pot and let it boil until it becomes tender. This will take about 1-2 hours depending on the thickness of the meat. Make sure to check for doneness by poking the veal with a fork.
- While the veal is boiling, take a frying pan and put the cherry in it. Heat the pan over medium heat until the cherry becomes warm and slightly softened. Set it aside.
- In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Peel and slice the onion, then place the slices in the boiling water. Let the onion soak in the boiling water for 15 minutes to mellow its flavor and soften it. Drain the onion and set it aside.
- Take a plate and arrange the lettuce leaves on it. These will serve as the base for your salad.
