Ingredients
- Chickpea — 400 g
- Onion — 200 g
- Parsley — 50 g
- Olive oil refined — 50 g
Method
- Soak the dried chickpeas in water overnight. This helps soften them and makes them easier to blend.
- Drain and rinse the soaked chickpeas thoroughly.
- In a blender or food processor, grind the soaked chickpeas until they form a coarse paste. For a better texture, you can also use a meat grinder if available.
- Similarly, grind the small onion and fresh parsley until they are finely chopped.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chickpeas, onion, and parsley. Add the olive oil and stir well to evenly distribute the ingredients.
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
- Shape the chickpea mixture into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet. You can use your hands or a spoon to shape them.
- Once the oven is preheated, place the baking sheet with the chickpea balls inside.
- Bake for 20-30 minutes or until the balls are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
- Once baked, remove the chickpea balls from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.
- Serve the baked chickpea balls as a delicious and protein-rich appetizer or as part of a main course.
- Enjoy your flavorful and healthy chickpea balls!
- Note: You can also serve the chickpea balls with a dipping sauce or use them as a filling in wraps or sandwiches for added variety.
